At Freedom International School, our infrastructure is built to support vibrant, inclusive, and future-ready learning experiences. A fully equipped infirmary with a full-time nurse ensures that student wellbeing is always prioritized. Our specialized labs — including Computer Science, Science, Social Studies, Home Science, Math, and Language Labs — enable hands-on, experiential learning through technology, exploration, and critical thinking. This year, we have also introduced an Artificial Intelligence/Virtual Reality lab for immersive learning experiences.
The R&D-backed curriculum comes alive through models, games, debates, and multimedia tools that ignite curiosity across subjects. The two-level library, with over 10,000 titles, hosts engaging literary activities, while our audio-visual rooms and interactive classrooms from 5th standard onwards enhance participatory teaching and learning. Facilities
Our support facilities are designed to nurture every student’s potential. The Resource Cell provides individualized or small-group instruction for students with diverse learning needs, leveraging multi-sensory methods that are tailor-made to each child’s requirements. Our Counseling Cell offers emotional and academic guidance through a part-time counsellor who helps students navigate personal, social, and scholastic concerns. The counsellor also conducts workshops for parents, teachers, and children to share tools and strategies that help support children at school and at home.
The R&D Cell ensures our teaching methods and content remain progressive and relevant, driving initiatives like our in-house Thinking Skills program and custom workbooks for early grades.
Food
The school cafeteria is a bright and cheerful space where students gather to enjoy their lunch and unwind. Filled with natural light pouring in through large windows, the room feels open and airy, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Colorful decor, comfortable seating, and lively chatter bring the space to life each day. It’s more than just a place to eat — it’s where friendships grow, laughter echoes, and both students and teachers feel rejuvenated.
Transport
For the convenience of our students, the school offers an optional transport service, which is managed by Bhaghirathi Travel Solutions Pvt. Ltd. The buses are owned and operated by the company, which specializes in safe and reliable school transportation.
Every effort is made to ensure the safety and comfort of the children during their commute. Each bus is fitted with a surveillance camera and is accompanied by a trained female support staff to assist and safeguard the students. Drivers are carefully selected based on their experience and safe driving record, and all vehicles are equipped with speed governors to prevent over-speeding. For added peace of mind, Bhaghirathi also uses NeoTrack, a real-time tracking app that allows parents to monitor their child’s journey.

School Elections
At FIS, students grasp the essence of entrepreneurship and individual contribution early on through the school’s unique election system. Right from Class 6, the school community eagerly comes together to elect the school cabinet just as they would in the real world. The votes are electronically counted, using an in-house software created by three of our students who are now working in prestigious IT companies. Through this system, students at FIS learn social responsibility early on, forming opinions and using decision-making skills.
Contests & Celebrations
Our academic rigor is perfectly balanced with a celebratory calendar that offers something new every month for our students and interested parents alike. Combining a global outlook with strong foundational values, these events provide a stage for the rediscovery of roots and expression of innate abilities. Highlights include FIS MUN, our student-led model UN; Interstellar, an inter-school event featuring a wide range of competitions; and the in-house Tyagaraja Aradhana, a music festival celebrating the compositions of Tyagaraja. We also invest in professional development sessions for teachers, and promote experiential learning opportunities both within India and internationally, enriching the educational journey for all.
Field Trips
Educational field trips aren’t just a day out — they’re valuable learning experiences that help our students grow both academically and personally. We take our students on excursions where they get the opportunity to leave the classroom to explore and learn in real-world settings. These experiences help bring classroom lessons to life, giving students a chance to interact with the subjects they’re studying, sparking curiosity, deepening understanding, and making learning more exciting and memorable.
Health & Wellness
At FIS, we take a holistic approach to well-being that includes both preventive care and emotional support. Regular health checks are part of the school calendar, including annual eye and dental screenings, general physical check-ups, and vaccination camps conducted on campus.
We are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for all our students. Our anti-bullying policy is actively enforced, and we nurture open conversations around puberty, safety, and body awareness — starting from the early years and age-appropriately evolving across grades.
We also invite qualified professionals such as doctors, psychologists, and dentists to engage with both students and parents through interactive sessions. These initiatives help us create not just healthy individuals, but also informed, confident, and emotionally secure young people.
Community Service With Gubacchi
Freedom International School is proud to collaborate with Gubbachi Learning Community, a non-profit dedicated to empowering marginalized migrant communities in Bangalore. Gubbachi provides quality education to over 1,000 children (ages 1–16), along with access to healthcare and welfare support across 28 communities. For over a year, our Class IX students have been volunteering monthly with Gubbachi, working on initiatives related to digital learning, health and hygiene, and communication. This collaboration has fostered a meaningful exchange of learning and empathy between our students and the children from the migrant community.
In the coming academic year, we are excited to welcome students from the Gubbachi Learning Community to FIS, who will have access to all the facilities the school has to offer, including the Science Lab.
